The 5th Annual Apple Classic 5k/10k Run offers an opportunity to run, walk and educate for Walton County! The Walton Education Foundation (WEF) is proud to present the race in our very own community of Hammock Bay.
A few things have changed since last year. The new Start/Finish Line has been moved south east to the Town Square where visitors can cheer runners on as they cross the finish line. There is also a new 10k course, which offers runners a two-turn course: the first turn is near Highway 20 and the second turn is near Highway 83A W. The 10K will be more enjoyable for runners, but also keep the course open, flat and tucked away within the beautiful community.
The new 5k is about 100 yards from Highway 20 and about 50 yards before the 10k turn to allow our 5k runners a little room when heading back to the finish line. There will be great post event activities this year, all at the Hammock Bay Town Square. Enjoy a raffle and lawn games just to name a few. The event directly benefits Walton Education Foundation.
